Playful Color Blocking

Top: Forever 21 / Skirt: Forever 21 / Belt: Windsor / Shoes: Nina Shoes / Earrings: Icing

Happy Thursday everyone!!! I have always stayed away from anything colorful because it has been ingrained into my mind that color is not flattering. This year I promised myself to incorporate more color into my wardrobe and this is how today's outfit was born. I wanted to use some jewel toned pieces that complimented each other while adding some statement accessories to bring the look together. I added some Nina wedges that reminded me of Cinderella slippers to make the outfit more fun and playful. I needed the belt to bring the shoes and the outfit together.

I hope this week goes by a little bit faster because I have a few exciting plans this weekend with my fiance. I will share more with everyone next week on the blog! Stay tuned!! Have a wonderful day!! XOXO

Petal to the Metal

Blazer: Forever 21 (available in stores or similar here) / Belt: Foreign Exchange (similar here or search ebay) / Leggings: J. Crew / Heels: Nina shoes (similar here)

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! I had the opportunity to visit the Korean Friendship bell in San Pedro with my Fiancé. I loved the amazing views of the ocean and the serenity of it all. It's such a beautiful location to play basketball with some friends, have a picnic and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature, or just take a stroll and admire the panoramic ocean view. The bell was a birthday gift to the United States from the Korean's to symbolize the friendship between the two nations. It's definitely a must see if your in the area!!!!

I'm so excited for the spring trends so I couldn't resist wearing this beautiful black blazer with large taupe roses and my comfy J. Crew stretch pants. I needed some statement pieces that would bring this look together so I decided to add my favorite gold plated belt from Foreign Exchange and some gold embellished Nina heels which made this outfit pop!!! I'm such a big fan of Nina shoes because they are made from top quality material and they look great too!! I have worn these heels a few times and they are just like new. I can't say enough great things about them!! Stay tuned for my next blog post which will include some fairytale looking heels from Nina!! Have a wonderful day!!!XOXO

Flowy Trench Coat

Trench Coat: H&M / Top: H&M (similar here) / Jeans: JCPenney / Boots: LC Lauren Conrad via Kohl's (old) / Cuff: Ebay / Purse: Louis Vuitton

Good Morning Everyone!!!

I have been looking for the perfect trench coat but it never looks right on me. It either make's me look too wide and bulky or the design is just not my taste. I finally found the perfect trench coat for a casual day out or a night out on the town. I love the light weight draped fabric along with the detailing on the back, the yoke with a box pleat. It's not lined so what you see is what you get inside and out. H&M out did themselves because not only is the design spectacular but the price is just right for a girl on a budget. At $29.95 I think it's a steal!!! I wanted to keep the outfit neutral and on the more casual side to highlight the trench coat. I can't stress enough how important it is to have this staple in your wardrobe at all times because its timeless and chic!!! Until next time!!

XOXO,
Shirley

Electric Blues

Top: Zara (on sale!!) / Spaghetti Strap Shirt: JCPenney / Jacket: Old / Skirt: Forever 21 / Heels: Shoemint

I'm really having a love affair with pencil skirts. They are timeless, chic, and unbelievably comfortable.  I'm so shocked I found this skirt at Forever 21 for approximately $12.00!!! I love the stretch knit fabric and the mesh stripes along the bottom of the skirt which makes this skirt look high end or at least worth more than $12.00. I wanted to mix the mesh on the skirt with a a semi-sheer plaid top I found on sale at Zara. I have also been inspired by an upcoming spring trend to incorporate royal blues into my wardrobe. Black is usually my go to color because its so flattering but I have made it a point to incorporate more colors into my wardrobe!

My fiancé and I made a new years resolution that we have kept which is to explore LA because we are natives and haven't seen a lot of the main attractions here. Last weekend was Long Beach which I love!! Its a beautiful city and anything near the beach is always a winner in my book. We had brunch at Claire's at the Museum which was delicious and the views were breath taking!! I have a picture of the view on my instagram account in case you want to check it out. Happy TGIF to everyone and have a wonderful weekend! XOXO

Candy Crush

Top: Forever 21 (old) / Skirt: JCPenney / Belt: Salvation Army / Bracelet: Forever 21 / Heels: Shoemint  / Sunglasses: Valentino

Good morning everyone!! I had such a fun filled weekend. On Saturday, my Fiance and I decided to spend a few hours in Long Beach because it was such a beautiful warm day. Then we decided to have brunch at my new favorite spot called Claire's at the Museum. I absolutely love the Hawaiian bread french toast and the breakfast croissant! Then we decided to drive few more miles to the South Cost Plaza in Costa Mesa to check out the Zara sale. OMG can i just say the sale was amazing!! If you follow me on instagram you will see how heel crazy I went because most of them were just $19.99!!! I love the quality of Zara heels!!!

On our mini trip I decided to wear pastel colors because Spring is just around the corner and in California it feels like summer. I am loving the new spring trend of wearing lavender's and light pinks because they are such happy and uplifting colors! I had to add a little gold to this outfit because we all know I love gold accessories!! I paired this outfit with my new Shoemint nude strappy heels, and yes I had to buy them in both black and nude because nude will transitions my outfits into spring and summer. Have a wonderful day my True Honest Fashionista's!! XOXOX

Timeless Plaid

Jacket: old / Top: old / Shorts: MNG by MANGO via JCPenney / Tights: CVS / Booties: Forever 21 / Purse: Forever 21 / Bracelets: Forever 21

I have been so excited  and busy celebrating my engagement with close friends and family that I decided to share one of the outfits I chose to wear. I went out to dinner with some girlfriends to Lazy Dog Cafe in the Del Amo Mall and decided to keep it classy once again with some pearls and these super cute MNG by Mango shorts. The only reason I purchased these shorts were because they reminded me so much of a classic plaid Chanel jacket. I mean what's classier than Chanel???? Nothing!!!!

Shirley
