Simplicity With A Bow

Simplicity is a beautiful thing. Today I wanted to dress in a simple white top with my favorite black dress pants from JCPenney. These dress pants are so comfortable and they look great on because they hug you in all the right places!!! The wide-wasteband is very flattering for the midsection especially for days when your feeling bloated. I have gained a few pounds and I am feeling very uncomfortable with my body at the moment. I am having one of those weeks :( It's been hard because I look at these magazines and I see size 0 or plus size women but I don't see anyone that represents me or my body type. Can anyone else relate? I'm a size 8, I'm Latina and proud of my curves but I have let myself go a little because I've been eating very unhealthy and I haven't gone to the gym in a few weeks so my body is back to a jello state of mind. I don't want to be stuck in this negative state of mind so I am committing to getting back on track and becoming healthier and more active. I might even incorporate my active moments on the blog (ie: hikes, bike rides, etc...)!! I love to hear from my readers so please share a story of when you've felt like this and how you overcame it. It will really inspire me!! Thanks a bunch!!! XOXO

P.S. I am obsessed with my new bow pumps (link is at the bottom)!!!!

Sporty Chic

Good morning everyone!!!

I had a chance to check out the Kardashion's spring Kollection at Sears this past weekend and fell in love with the fit, feel, and look of the elastic waist pants in the mini cheetah print. They are so versatile and comfortable. The style of the pants are more on the sporty side but the silky feel of the fabric increases the sophistication a couple of notches. I wanted to pair them with an off the shoulder top to keep it more sporty and add a dash of chic with the strappy heels. Enjoy! XOXO

Feeling Blue

It's Friday!!

Even though this week was shorter because of the holiday I still struggled. If you follow me on instagram then you know I met one of my favorite fashion blogger's Sheryl from Walk In Wonderland this past weekend. She was so sweet, kind, and had the cutest little accent. The best part was she knew I was a fashion blogger too and remembered my face from instagram.

My fiancé and I went to check out the Disney Concert Hall in LA and I fell in love with the architecture and the public park with a fountain shaped like a rose. It matched my outfit perfectly which made this girl very happy!!! I chose to wear a white asymmetrical skort from Forever 21, blue tube top with sleeves, and matching blue Zara heels. My fiance took me to Bottega Louie where the make the most amazing macaroons!!! My favorite are the pistachio and salted caramel.

Sweet Valentine

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Is it me or is it super hard to recover from a 3 day weekend???  I hope everyone had an amazing long weekend and a Valentines day filled with lots of love and chocolate. I wanted to share my Valentine's day outfit with everyone. Since red is the official color of Valentine's day I decided to incorporate that in a huge way by wearing a very red pencil skirt from Forever 21. I decided to pair it with some neutral piece's like my Valentino inspired heels from Windsor and a flirty sheer top from JCPenney.

I was off on Valentine's day which made my Fiance and my life so much easier. We decided to celebrate during the day and beat all the crowds. We took a walk on the Redondo Beach pier where the weather was unbelievably warm and and enjoyable at about 80 degrees. Then we had a late lunch on the patio looking onto the marina at the Cheesecake Factory. The food was amazing and the strawberry martini I ordered was just perfect. We then went to my house and opened up our gifts. If you would like to know what he gave me for Valentine's day visit my Instagram page. Hint: it's red and beautiful! My love also bought my favorite cake from the King's Hawaiian Bakery and some beautiful red roses. I am one lucky girl to have such a romantic and loving person in my life. XOXO

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

I'm so excited its Friday!! I've had a rough few days but I can't wait to celebrate Valentine's day with the love of my life! I have a huge surprise for him and I can't wait to give it to him. I have such a hard time keeping secrets especially when they are about gifts, pretty cool perfect for the person gifts! Does anyone else struggle with this?? I think today is not only a day for couple's but its also a day to express your love for family and friends. We all have busy hectic schedules and Valentine's Day is just a little reminder to say I love you to all those amazing people in your life. I'm so blessed to have such great friends surrounding me and helping me get through the past few days.

You may have already seen this outfit on a previous post Journey of a Dress but that post concentrated more on the exhibit than the outfit I was wearing. The skirt I am wearing is a show stopper!! I love the details on this skirt, from the asymmetrical front zipper to the plaid print, it's just different and unique. Its perfect for work or a night out with the ladies. I paired it with a black sweater to keep all the attention on the skirt. The sweater has lace detailing on the shoulders which makes it so feminine and flirty. Thanks for stopping by!!! XOXO
