Wow, I can't believe one year has already passed!! I am very proud of myself for starting this blog and keeping up with it consistently. I am usually the girl who starts a million things but never finishes one. I have learned that in order to succeed you must be true to yourself and love what you do. I love creating outfits and sharing them with all of you. I hope you enjoy this recap of some of my favorite outfits and hopefully see an improvement throughout the year of my outfit choices. I'm so excited for the future of the blog because it will only get better from here!! I love all of you and thank you for following my journey!

When jeans make a promise to give us a "betta" butt, you better believe I'm listening!! If you follow my blog you know I'm a big JCPenney-a-holic which means I have to shop there at least once a month. I was passing by the juniors section when these YMI jeans caught my eye. I stood there for a few seconds pondering how pants can make my butt any better? I mean they are just jeans!?!? It sparked my interest enough to try them on. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when my butt looked pretty full and perky in these jeans. Over the past year and a half I have been loosing weight very slowly and I am proud to say I have lost a total of 40 lbs. I feel so much better and more self confident but my butt has suffered in the process. Basically my butt has shrunk to almost nothing. These jeans gave my butt a new life. Don't take my word for it just look at the pictures above. BTW these jeans are true to size. Happy Monday True Honest Fashionistas!!
I found such a unique little black dress at Express and it's currently on sale!! When I tried it on I fell in love with the fit and length. Such a modern touch on a classic LBD. Of course, I bought the same exact dress in black and white for a wedding I will be attending with my Fiance on Friday, I paired my new LBD with my favorite red bow pumps. I rarely wear these babies because they are not very comfortable but I love them so much I don't care!! Speaking of shoes, I have decided to do a weekly shoe roundup for all my ladies out there who have an obsession with heels and love a good deal. I am the queen of finding good deals and I want to spread the love to all my readers.

Southern California has been in summer mode since summer which ended a few months ago. I have become a little frustrated with the weather god because I have not been able to wear my beautiful scarfs at all this season. What do frustrated people do?!?! They become creative!!! This is where the scarf as a top was born. Not really, but in my head I'd like to think so! It doesn't take a genius to come up with this idea but it does take the right scarf. First and foremost it has to be a square scarf made out of a polyester type material that doesn't stretch otherwise it will constantly start sliding off your chest. We can't have a nip slip!! Then, you fold the scarf in half to make a triangle and tie it around your chest. Voila, now you can rock your scarf during any season either around your neck to keep you warm or around your chest to keep you nice and cool. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!
