This past weekend I stumbled upon a documentary on Netflix called "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead" which changed my life and outlook on the food I put in my body. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but it's about this guy named Joe from Australia who has an autoimmune disease which forces him to take a few different pills including steroids. He is sick of being overweight and reliant on pills so he decides to drastically change his life for the better. He flies to New York and plans to juice for 60 days while driving across the country informing people and asking them questions about their eating habits. It has been a life changing movie for David and I which excites me tremendously. I have decided to start my juicing journey this Sunday and I will document everything for anyone who is interested to learn about my experience. I am aiming for 7 to 10 days but we will see what happens. All I ask is that no one judge me because I will need all the support I can get on this hard road to being a healthier women.
Now back to the fashion at hand. I must say I'm really feeling the hawaiian print this summer. It's so bright and cheerful which made it super easy to pair with one of my favorite pink skirts of all time from H&M. I said it in my previous blog post and I will say it again, this skirt is a steal at $14.95. The quality is out of this world and the fabric is so thick and heavy which almost guarantees this piece will last for many years to come. It's no longer available online but I was in H&M last week and I still saw a few left which is shocking!! Since I combined two very loud pieces I felt the need to keep the heels a little quieter which led me to my favorite strappy heels from Shoemint. If you follow me on Instagram then you know I have an unhealthy obsession with heels. But who cares because you only live once!! Until next time fashionistas!!
