Scarf: Zara / Dress: Foreign Exchange / Heels: Zara / Belt: Bananan Republic via Salvation Army / Earrings: Forever 21 (old)
I am patiently waiting for Spring but I couldn't help myself! I purchased this vibrant colored scarf from Zara on sale for a whopping $9.99. I know it's a little taboo to share what you paid for on an item but I'm sharing this because you don't need to spend a fortune to look fly! I bought the belt from Salvation Army for $3 or $4 which is a steal and your recycling someone else's stuff which is great for the environment. I paired it with a white dress from my very own closet which reminds me of a very short wedding dress because of the pleating on the back. These gold Zara heels are some of my favorite and most comfortable heels... I guess thats why I own them in both gold & silver!
I'm a huge fashion lover and when I need inspiration I look to fellow bloggers for help. I was browsing someone's blog a few weeks ago and I really loved the way she belted her light & airy scarf over a dress. In her look you could still see the front of the dress but when I tried it, it just didn't look right. I decided to belt the scarf so that you couldn't see the front of my dress at all and it transformed the whole look into something magical. The dress went from being plain and boring to something people couldn't take their eyes off. I'm not even exaggerating!! So, belted scarves are definitely going to be my thing this year!! I hope I've inspired you to either try this look or a trend of your own. Until next time sweet readers!
XO,
Shirley
